If you plan on opening a bank account, Ilario is the banker you want to work with. Hes knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. He made me feel very welcome and made the process quick and easy. He said to come back anytime I have any questions or need help with anything and that makes me know hes trustworthy and will be available.

So Citizens abruptly closed my bill pay ability and I have NO IDEA WHY despite a trip to the bank and two phone calls in which NO ONE CAME TO THE PHONE! No wonder this place gets such poor reviews!!! So glad I found another bank!!

Too busy to answer a phone call regarding closing an unneeded checking account. Multiple attempts, over multiple days, multiple times per day. Phone rings for a couple of minutes each time and the hangs up.

2nd bad experience- when you unfreeze a locked debit card it will not work for awhile. Totally useless. First bad experience- I had a horrible experience with Citizens customer service. My debit card was canceled for the 2nd time in 2 years for no reason and without notice. I spent one hour and forty minutes on the phone. I was transferred over and over and then the call was disconnected. Good luck trying to talk to someone.

So I have been a Citizen account holder when it was Mellon Bank. This branch is not at fault. But I can't seem to talk to anybody that can help. The story is that I belong to a club that was closed for covid. When it was reopened I used my card for the first time on their Mac machine. The following day I also went up. When I got there the bartender told me that my account was possible fraudulent and that the Mac machine guy told him that. The last time I checked it that was classified information that nobody should have access to know. If that wasn't bad enough I went to go get some beverages at a Pax and Dogz. When I went to cash out. The cashier pushed my chip on to an Apple pay. And my account information was available to the clerk at the register. Which he told me clearly what it was. This was confusing to me! And as far as I'm concerned should never happen. I want to know how this is possible and why there is no explanation and why I'm redirected to customer service when I'm clearly being robbed? I was patient and nice and all I was told was that I have to go back on Tuesday!? Lol but not funny. It is ridiculous. The reason for this is because the statement that I received from citizens. Was $3 per service charge when they clearly say $2.50 for the service on the machine that I used. But the biggest problem I have is how the heck does this happen? How do you complete strangers know about my banking information before I did.? And why can't I get anybody on the phone for this super emergency when it's almost $2,600 or more that I did not make. not to mention being charged $3 when the Mac machine said $2.50.??
