Amazing old tree. Definitely worth the .3 mile walk to it from the parking area. This tree is huge, and offers plenty of shade. This tree may have seen George Washington. It's been around over 250 years.

This is a 300 year old tree!! Kids had a great time with the tree and where surprised to see the branch touch the ground and becoming a tree of its own.

As I review this tree - the first thing I wish people would do is respect it. So many times I have seen people with hammocks slung in its lovely branches and I have asked they to think of what they are doing. This tree is magnificent but its also a tree that an arborist is working to keep safe.

285+ year old sycamore tree that witnessed the revolutionary war. Beautiful, unique shape and appearance. Please don't carve on the bark and deface it.
