McMichael Park

McMichael Park, a serene green space in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was established in 1929 and is named after Morton McMichael, who served as the Mayor of Philadelphia from 1866 to 1869. He was also the first President of Philadelphias Fairmount Park Commission from 1867 to 1879. The park, located at 3300 Midvale Ave, offers outdoor recreation and nature preservation, maintained by the Philadelphia Parks Department. Its a place where the community can engage with nature and enjoy open spaces. The parks history is further enriched by the discovery of numerous Indian artifacts, indicating that it was once the location of an Indian village. Overall decently sized park, with a playground that is around medium to small sized and a huge area for picnicking/playing games like frisbee. Playground: The playground was great. Swings were nice, decent space, and big area. Picnic area: Huge area to picnic. Beautiful scenery.

A well kept park thats plenty big for pets to run around, and the city built a nice playground for the smaller kiddos. No bathrooms here, and parking is on the street.
