The Rodin Museum was my favorite I have ever been to. There was no wait and there are dozens of sculptures to see. The outside grounds are also beautiful and feature several sculptures in and around the gardens.

There are a few substantive collections of Rodin sculptures in the world: Paris, New York, Palo Alto, and Philadelphia. The collection holds a special place in my heart as it resides in a museum constructed in some ways to resemble one of the places Rodin lived. There are several casts of his more famous works including: Thee Thinker, The Shades, The Burghers of Calais, and The Gates of Hell. There are also a several less common statues. The museum is small, which makes it accessible and not overwhelming if you dont have lots of time. It is located a short walk from other major art museums, which makes it easy to visit. In my opinion, a trip to Philadelphia isnt completely without a visit to the Rodin Museum.
