        Built in 1756, the Woodford Mansion was home to Fairmount Park's Chief Engineer, and then served as headquarters for the Fairmount Park Guard. In recent years, the home's been furnished with colonial antiques. They are open some weekends for free house tours, and you can make an appointment to tour it. In summer, the front yard is filled with a colorful garden, and they have an apiary. When we visited in winter 2024, they had blanketed their trees and shrubs in adorable snowman outfits.

        We did a tour of the house and an orchard tour. Had a wonderful time there with my kids they had fun activities for them. Like pumpkin painting, apple tasting and apple cider juice press loved all of it we had fun.
