Modern Optometry

Everyone is so nice at Modern Optometry & so helpful. I am extremely happy that I went for my eye exam today. They care about everything with your eyes & check everything out which is great. I had Megan do these tests on me & she was amazing. Amanda is so sweet & always helps me pick out the best glasses for my face. She worked with me to try & save the most money. She is so knowledgeable & very sweet & I wont go to any other place. She is such an asset to your company & I will continue to keep coming back! Thank you & also Dr Verna is an excellent eye doctor. This place is amazing. Everyone needs to go to Modern Optometry you will be so glad you went there!!! I will post a pic when I get my glasses! Cant wait to get them. Thank you MO for all you do to make me see clearly

I am very particular when it comes to vision treatment, health, and look of my eyes. I was scheduled for an exam here by my agency and had made my pre judgments as I prepared to go to my appointment. I called to see if I could arrive a little earlier as I was in the vicinity and "J.D." was able to find a time to accommodate me. I arrived at a clean, fully supplied facility, to young, smiling faces. After a brief check-in, J.D. took me to a few rooms to run tests. Each room had some of the latest technologically advanced machinery and cameras that cater to eyes. He explained each machine's capability and purpose, which not only calmed me but made me anxious to 'see' for myself (pun intended). After completing all of the Star Wars level testing, I was 'seen' by Dr. Verna. She performed a few more checks and interpreted the main points and results of the testing. Dr. Verna discussed the images of my eyes, addressing some historical concerns and findings. Dr. Verna best advised my need to change how I'd been treating a symptom I've had since my PRK to rather address the problem. I had PRK in 2010 while in the Army and was considering a touch-up service. I had lost acuity above 20/20 that I gained from surgery. She alleviated the feeling I had towards a touch-up laser surgery with a rather frank comparison test she conducted for near and far vision. I didn't really need it! No upsells for unnecessary treatments or eyewear as she genuinely has your healthy sight at heart. She made it seem as if my eyes were hers! I had a changing experience on this visit and found that my earlier prejudices were baseless. I could have a new eye doctor and crew, and I live in South New Jersey!
