image Positive experience with Dr. Corey Langer. The wait was long, but he makes sure each of his patients gets the time and attention they need, which is wonderful and very important when dealing with something as serious as cancer. We happily waited to see him. He stayed late for us and was kind, professional, and honest. The valet parking is affordable and the attendants are prompt and kind. Grateful for the opportunity for my family member to receive treatment here.

image Did not have a good experience here. My father was transferred here from another cancer center in hopes to get better treatment. It did not seem like his doctor, Kim A. Reiss Binder read through his chart thoroughly before taking him on as a patient.
My biggest concern however, is her bedside manners. When speaking with her on 10/6, my mother was explaining my fathers current issues he was experiencing. In the middle of the conversation she stated "it sounds like he's dying". This was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and inappropriate. Because she was on speakerphone, my father heard her. Whether she was on speakerphone or not, there are other ways to say things without being so blunt. As an oncologist you must show compassion and that isn't something that she did that day. The family and I are very disgusted and just wished for a better experience during this difficult time.

image Hip hip hooray for HUP and the Abramson Cancer Center. From the parking lot attendant who directs you to a spot, to Mitzi who pushes the Atrium elevator button for you, to the Covid check in ladies, to the medical professionals who walk by when you seem lost and ask if you need directions, Im not sure how any facility could be staffed with friendlier or nicer people.
And thats before you've even reached your scheduled department! Once there, very little waiting and again pleasant & efficient checkin staff. Nurses who introduce themselves by name and explain what will be happening today and what they will be doing. Residents who assure you that the doctor will come in too, they just want to get some background. Doctors and PAs who show up in a timely manner and yet never seem to be in a hurry to move on to the next patient. A special shout-out to Dr Lukens and his PA Erin McMenamine for their skill, concern, and advice going through the scary process of radiation for throat cancer. You made coming for appointments something we looked forward to. Then theres the whole crew in the Roberts Proton Therapy team. You did you best to stay on schedule, make me comfortable and even accommodate obscure music choices.
I wish we could give you all 10 stars!
