One of the best prolific history museums in our country. I was able to enhance the true existence and foundation of this country. I encourage all people seeking the truth to visit this phenomenal institute. Bring your kids!

This is a museum everyone should visit. The collection is incredible. Gwen conducted the tour I was on and she is a wealth of information. This museum provides a very important reminder that we should not forget the brutal history of slavery and we should recognize its continued negative effects on society.

If you went to school in the American public school system visiting this museum is a must! There are so many things I was never taught and as time progresses speaking of America's origins becomes more and more taboo. This political correctness is washing away our history. By 'our' I mean American. Slavery tells you more about those who created it than those enslaved. This museum has a great collection of items you won't see anywhere else but the best part of the museum is the guide. Gwen did an amazing job of telling the history of the artifacts and made a few points I will never forget! This museum is a gem. If you happen to have visited the African American Museum you can make up for that mistake by visiting here. Lest we forget will leave a lasting impact, guaranteed.
