Old City Movers

I recently used Old City movers for a move from Old City (one bedroom) to Rittenhouse (two bedrooms). It took them exactly 2 hours and 4 minutes- they did a FANTASTIC job and were very kind and professional. I will absolutely use them for any future moves and will recommend them to friends in the area. Thank you for making such a stressful event so easy!

I've used Old City Movers twice and both times were not the worst but also not the best, but they both follow the pattern of them doing the work fast but leaving behind a lot. The most recent experience was this Thursday. The pros: They were upbeat and friendly to my face, completely understanding that I had a cat hiding in the house that we could not catch that morning, worked quick and tried hard to get all my furniture out of a trinity house The cons: I had 2 heirloom pieces of glassware break even though I wrapped them in bubble wrap and had them in a box labeled fragile, they're were both in the same corner of different boxes leading me to believe that the boxes were not handled carefully. I could also hear them complaining about the amount of stuff we had, and throughout the entire experience I was made to feel overall pretty bad overhearing the complaints and hearing stuff getting tossed around. And my last one, and I had this exact issue the first time, so much stuff was left behind. I ended up having to extend my rental car with Hertz to pack and move everything left behind myself, this equaled 4 trips with a loaded SUV and a lot of pain I was hoping to avoid by hiring movers, and despite all of my boxes being labeled, only about 1/3 ended up in the correct room which is making unpacking take far longer then anticipated.

Had a great experience with OCM a few weeks ago. They were prompt, professional and extremely helpful throughout the move out of my old place and into my new home. Stairs weren't a problem and pricing was reasonable. I'll definitely use them again!

Fantastic experience with Old City Movers. Unfortunately, it was raining the entire day of the move, but the guys were great about it and took extra care to make sure my furniture stayed dry and protected. They were kind, professional, and extremely accommodating. My only regret is not finding them earlier for my previous moves. Will absolutely be using them again in the future. Thanks again, guys!
