Hurricane Property Maintenace

We wanted to re-design the landscaping in the front of our home. Hurricane was referred to us by a friend. We were not specific about what we wanted and Tom worked with us to create a design that will add color to our home throughout the year. We are very happy with the result and his pricing was very competitive. I would highly recommend Hurricane Property Maintenance.

I hired Hurricane to dome some yard fill, tilling, leveling and sodding - about 800 sf. Tom, the owner, was prompt with his estimate appointment. The price was fair. The work was done according to schedule except for some weather related delays - not his fault. There were no hidden costs. I asked for some extra work and it was priced equally fair. Tom staffed the job appropriately with really hard working guys. The crew was very respectful to both me and my property. I would definitely recommend this contractor to family or friend.

The owner promised to come the next day between 2:30pm to 3pm to finish a 3ft by3ft concrete work, cost was decent. But There is no show for the next day in the given window. Owner later called me to explain his guys were only 10 mins late, but in fact, I was out there on a 92F weather and waited for them for the entire 30 mins. I told the owner we need to reschedule, the owner refuse to and threaten if they can't do it while they were there, they will report various violation of my house to the city and get me into troubles. Very unpleasant experience and would not recommend to anyone.

My replacement of outside cement steps has been going on since March 2, 2017 when I stupidly gave Tom May a deposit of $1000....and after numerous excuses and delays, the work finally started June 30, when he again needed half of the money.  After tearing out the old steps, the mess sat for 2 days before subcontractors finally showed up and did the work, though not well.  Friends and neighbors have looked at the work and just shake their heads. My fence posts were not reset correctly, the grass on the side of my house is destroyed, stones and cement chunks remain and I'll need resodding - which they will not be doing!  Phone calls are not returned in a timely fashion and the excuses for not "finishing" the job, doing the "clean up" continue. This morning, Tom May hung up on me when I asked about getting this done!  Do not use this unprofessional company.  And I have just discontinued my lawn service by them too after using them for about 4 years now.  I'm tired paying for mediocre, overpriced work and no professionalism.
