First, I will say that the gentleman at the desk was very kind and professional. However, I was unable to keep my reservation at the hotel because of an admittedly weird situation- I have an elevator phobia and they do not have access to stairs on the first floor. I was told the stairs begin on the second floor. I explained that there had to be stairs because of fire code, and I was told they do not. I had to book elsewhere and take an Uber to and from my desired destination, whereas I could have walked from here. I understand I have an odd problem, but I have never been to a hotel that does not have a full staircase. It seems unsafe in the event of a fire!

The hotel is very good but there are homeless people near the place and that makes one feel unsafe

I wonder if the reviews advising people not to listen to the negative reviews are actually real as this was probably the worst hotel experience I've ever had. As you can see from the replies to others, they keep saying they will work on training their staff, but this comes from the top down. The lack of respect, consideration, value, communication or care...the false advertising with being pet friendly (NOT) and really no place for your pet to go to the bathroom, lots of homeless around and not walkable, I can't even speak to the breakfast that is mentioned positively because I had to leave in the middle of the night. The rooms were NOT spacious like some of the reviews say - I could barely walk with the 2 beds in the room. Towels thrown on the sink. Hair left around. The staff and the guests made us very uncomfortable. I have nothing but negative to say about this hotel and urge you to listen rather than "try" like I did. Rooms: Small, not well kept or clean, look out the window and view is of homeless people sleeping (see pic) Safety: NOT safe Walkability: I was scared to even walk outside with the people walking around the hotel.
