The doctors and staff are by far hands down the best. Super friendly, extremely helpful, and courteous. They are patient first, friendly and listen and help with all your medical needs. The only reason this is 2 star is the fact that if you're from NJ 1-you have to drive there and pay for bridge toll and deal with the Philly traffic 2-limited parking in "their" parking garage and 3-"free" parking for patients, which is not free after 30 minutes. I don't know ANY doctors appointment that are 30 minutes. Especially since you have to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment then wait another 10-15 minutes to get checked in. Now you're at your "free" 30 minutes before you even get called to have your vitals checked and in a room waiting to see the doctor or NP. I've been going to Penn for over 5 years now and never once had to pay for parking at any of my appointments except the office at 3400 Civic Center Blvd offices. If you can, save yourself the time, hassle and money and schedule a televisit instead of an in person visit.

The doctors at the colorectal department and ostomy department are the best. Today my complaint is not about the doctors or staff but has to to do with the cleaning staff today. Upon my arrival at UPenn Perelman Center, I had to use the bathroom very badly. Two people a man and a woman were cleaning the one bathroom which was blocked off. The woman started going into second bathroom and I quickly asked the if I could use the bathroom before she started cleaning. The gentleman who was nice said hed take me to another bathroom. I said, I have a medical condition I have a colostomy bag and need to go. The bathroom the gentleman took me to was dirty. I thought to myself this is how you treat someone who had a medical condition? Lately Ive also have an issue holding my urine. I almost wet myself. As I approached the elevator I said, you sent me to a dirty bathroom on the other side, rudely the woman replied, well you went didnt you? Ill be making a call to patient relations in regards to this. A person with a handicap or medical condition should not be treated the way I was and Ill be calling the people with disabilities to report this cleaning team. Thank You!

Husband had a 1230p appt with Dr Atluri. We arrived at 1150a to ensure we found the correct office. Initial check in was good, employee personable. Check in with nursing staff(?) once at our Module was very unprofessional. Multiple conversations complaining about coworkers could be overheard. Another staff member denied a woman entry with her husband even though he was a non English speaker and needed a translator. The third staff member has a vocal/speech impediment and appears to get frustrated with patients and caregivers when people cannot understand whose name she is calling in waiting area. I am currently writing this review at 125p and we have yet to be seen by the physician.
