image If you've been feeling stalled out on your progress or you want to take your playing to the next level, you really should do yourself a favor and spend some time working with Vince. It will be an incredible investment in your development as a player. I've gone from cowboy chords to playing on stage at open jams in just a few weeks. If that sounds exciting to you, I hope you'll read through my (long winded) story.
Longer version:
I've been playing guitar for about 10 years. Until about a year ago I mostly learned to play songs using ultimate guitar and from videos on youtube. I have a lot of musically talented friends who would let me play along with them, but I never felt like I was truly jamming with them. I started following different teachers on Patreon (about a year ago) bc I was tired of only playing those "cowboy chords" while my friends jammed. I tried several Patreon teachers but I became overwhelmed realizing how much theory and fundamental knowledge I had overlooked in just learning songs by rote memorization.
Then I came to Vince.
After two weeks of working with Vince (really just two one hour lessons) I felt like I had learned more than I did in the 10 years I spent wandering around the internet.
Before working with Vince I always felt like understanding the theory and ideas behind music was something that was just over my head and that playing up and down the fret board was a mystical talent that I would never be able to truly understand.
I still have a long journey ahead, but a few weeks of working with Vince has produced an amazing mindset shift in me where a lot of that stuff has started to make sense and I have been more excited than ever to practice and have been feeling confident enough to jam with my friends.
Vince has been challenging me more and more each week.
Using his method and the ideas he's imparted to me I've been able to learn songs much much faster and to play more complex chords that previously seemed impossible to get under my fingertips.
On top of all that he's gotten me out of the basement and onto the stage at open jams around the city.
Playing on stage with other musicians is something I truly never believed I would have the ability or confidence to pull off. But working with Vince and his steady challenges has given me the push and the skills I needed to jump into the mix.
I can't recommend Vince enough!
