I took the Basics 1 course with Craig and Greg and would absolutely recommend it to anyone who is interested in woodworking or anyone with some experience who wants to improve on their woodworking basics. Despite having some experience and having built a few pieces of furniture and boxes previously, I felt like I learned something during each class. Whether it was an improved order or operations or more nuanced way to use a tool, Im looking forward to applying what I learned to future projects to make myself a more competent woodworker and make the experience of building something all that more enjoyable! I 10/10 recommend this course and any experience with Philadelphia Furniture Workshop. Im looking forward to taking more courses in the future!

Craig Stevens is a knowledgeable, patient, and approachable teacher as well as an accomplished woodworker. I highly recommend taking a class at PFW and thoroughly enjoyed the bench on bench project course I took there.

Ive taken 4 workshops here now, they are a lot of fun and quite instructive. Craig the instructor combines eastern and western woodworking traditions and techniques, and works very hard to ensure that all of the students successfully complete the projects.
