Ellwood School

I love Ellwood School. My girls enjoy being with teachers who really care. I have nothing but great things to say. The principle is very involved with the children.

Loved this school went there from 1-6 grade it was the best years of my life especially 2-3 grade with Ms. Q & Ms. Chase and Mr. Speedwack ❤️

How do u have a school calander and theres nothing posted on it. My kid goes here and that will be helpful to parents to be able to check the calander online...

"Philadelphia public schools are one of Americas greatest examples of ORGANIZED SEGREGATION" - Lashayna Foster. I assumed Ellwood would be different because of its proximity to the suburbs. I was wrong. This school is absolutely TERRIBLE ! The principal allows ANYTHING to happen to the students who attend without even enforcing consequences on the unruly children. My daughter is a well behaved 3rd grader. She does her work & she's nice to everyone she encounters (the staff keeps me VERY informed) however, regardless of how well behaved she is my daughter has been subjected to physical fights AT LEAST 2 times a week this school year alone. We've requested a eh26 (in district transfer) because 2 serious incident reports we're filed on our behalf against other students around the closing of the last school year. If you have ANY alternative options pleasee do not send your children here. 85% of Ellwood's staff are solely there with the intent to collect their paychecks, NOTHING MORE. They're not concerned with teaching our children, supervising our children, or even protecting our children.
