I had a great experience getting my annual cleaning and exam. Melinda was my hygienist and she was very professional, through, and knowledgeable. When she used the mini pressure washer device that hurts my ears, she specifically avoided using the device on the areas that would hurt. There was also minimal splashing. The dentist Dr. Soheili was also very professional and informative. Definitely will go here again!

I had been using Deme as my dental provider since I moved to Philadelphia (for over 2 years) and I am deeply sorry to add this comment however, I must write this as a reference future patients. +++ I want to thank for the office workers in this clinic because they were always more than helpful, hats off to you all+++ I also learnt the importance of adding the reference to the dental clinics after some months or maybe years because you don't really see the affects straight after. 1) Tooth no 7: My first visit (emergency), I have been informed that, I need a root canal and a crown. The procedure had been completed and within a year my crown came off. They put it back however, it's slightly cracked inside and it looks bad for the esthetic way. 2) Tooth no 15 and 16: They have informed me that, I need to extract them regardless and there is no way to restore these 2 tooth. Luckily, I have visited my home country and my dentist at home restored both of them with a crown and I have no issues. P.S: My dentist back home, asked me to send a panoramic x-ray prior to my visit just to have an idea in advance since I had a limited time abroad (obviously, he had taken all x-rays during my visit abroad) and Deme clinic asked me in an insultingly way ''ohh don't they have a panoramic x-ray over there'' the fun fact is (not even considering the cost of procedures) my clinic is 10s of times better than the service at Deme. 3) Tooth no 3 (the time I decided to write this comment and finally stop using Deme as my provider): I had a root canal and a crown last year (pretty much brand new) and it started to get loose 2 weeks ago. I scheduled an appointment and I thought that, they will put it back, since I experienced the same thing before. They took an x-ray (no issue, broken part, cracked part) and then the dentist spent a couple of minutes with a dental tool to remove it and there you go, I have been informed that, it's broken (which was not visible on x-ray, per the dentist word, I did not see the x-ray) and I also been informed that, I must get an implant because there is no way to restore it. I have been said ''SORRY'' and that's all. I was so frustrated and today I decided to visit another dental clinic for the same tooth (I am not going to name the dental clinic in Philly, however it has 10s of times more good reviews). The new dental clinic informed me, there is no need for an implant, the remained tooth is really good enough and I can save it with a new crown. They have also informed me that, it was most probably broken because Deme made an oversized crown. Meanwhile, I was talking to my dentist back home and I was given exactly the same answers with the new clinic that I will use from now on in Philly. The new clinic is slightly more expensive than Deme however, my advice is don't avoid paying 10% - %20 extra for your procedures and you will receive long lasting treatment. I feel like, Deme is offering (we are not dentists or experts in dentistry so we really don't know what dentists exactly doing) crown for the minor procedures and then finding a way to lead it to dental implants to charge the insurance companies as much as they can. Yet again, I am so sorry to write these comments but I feel obliged for the future patients also worth to mention once again, thank you for all office workers at Deme.

They don't accept either of Comcast's insurance now that they are under Smiles. Neither UCD Elite Plus or Aetna DMO. It was very convenient to go there since it is near the Comcast campus. It took them 9 months btw to confirm that they don't take my insurance after sending my insurance 4 times via email. The office also first confirmed they did and then left a message telling me that they did not accept United Concordia. They are now more like a frown than a smile.

I stopped in today in the black lady at the front desk was very rude I asked did they take HMO she said No! So I agreed that I was willing to pay out of pocket because the dentist office is very convenient for me since I live in the area she then asked me did I have my x rays on me?!! Like why would I be walking around with X-rays on me than she very rudely asked me when was the last time I seen a dentist? This is not the first rude encounter I had there with her. Its like she Racist of her own kind. Anyway, later on that day I took my $2,000 to Aspen Dental where Ill be getting my implant done there!! FYI: It doesnt pay to be a mean person.

This is a belated review. During the first year of the pandemic my crown unexpectedly came off. I visited this office for a repair on the crown. The reason I had a negative experience was because subsequent to my visit and my repair, I ended up having a root canal on the same tooth (from a different office) due to the poorly performed service by this office. After the initial repair, I went back again because of the lasting discomfort from the crown. I may have went back for a third time. The discomfort and frequent pain lasted through summer of the following year. I eventually visited other offices to get a second / third opinion. Their evaluations and my x-ray confirmed that the crown repair was improper and that I needed a root canal right away. I know (it's true for me) that it can be difficult to judge the quality of medical services received and that procedures do go awry. The thing I remember the most beside the improper repair was that during my subsequent visits, my dentist displayed a lack of care for my concerns and lack of accountability and willingness to help. That ultimately is why I would not recommend this office. I have since visited several other offices near Rittenhouse Square and they were great. If you are on the fence, consider another office.
