Apparently, this store doesnt accept legal tender when they have too much of one denomination, but I would think a business that is new to the area would want to take money of any kind especially due to the rising inflation and the fact that over 70 percent of sole proprietorships fail within the first two years. I dont know who this guy is on Sunday(10-2-22 @4:45pm) because I go in mostly during the week. In my opinion, being new to area, a cocky clerk, and refusing a sale isnt a good combo. The neighborhood will still be here when the store eventually fails because they refused a few too many sales. I wish I had it like that. Ill take the overflow of cash this guy has any day. Just throw it in a box and ill pick it up asap.

Since Rite Aid closed this side of Island avenue has not had a convenience store with awesome store hours (24hr). The residents on this side of Island Ave only had Elmwood Market, but their hours arent all that great or we could walk up to Passyunk Ave which means crossing Island Ave and after dark its a bit sketchy and the walk includes taking our lives in our hands because everyone speeds and so many blow the red lights. During the day its really dangerous walking across with 36 running. So, when I noticed several weeks back that the check cashing place closed and a store a 24hr store was opening I actually felt like a little kid because I was so excited. I believe they will do very well because there are residents beyond 74th St back to 82nd i believe who have nothing and their journey is insane especially those of us who dont or choose not to drive especially because parking on the street can be difficult and once a spot is found leaving for 10 minutes to run to corner store isnt worth the risk. Its a perfect spot for a convenience store. My husband has been there everyday since they opened and he doesnt get irritated when I ask him to walk to the store for me because we are only a few hundred feet away. Also the people operating the store are very nice and welcoming. Sometimes the employees in corner stores seem as if the customers are bothering them, but I dont get that vibe here. Hopefully, someone from the new store will have the opportunity to read this review because I want to be the first on Google Maps to welcome you to Clearview section of Philadelphia. It is my hope that you are prosperous with this business venture because I think you'll find this area of SouthWest Philly a pretty decent neighborhood with great neighbors who will hopefully become regular repeat customers. You are my new go to convenience store.

Hello, we spoke to the clerk working at the time and he mentioned to us that the customer insisted he accept ripped up money. Unfortunately we are unable to accept any damaged currency because the banks do not let us deposit it.Sorry for the inconvenience, we hope to make it up to you next time!
