This Roman Catholic Church, built in 1763, is not far from Independence Hall, and tied to it in American history. The adjoining cemetery includes the graves of Commodore Barry (Father of the US Navy) and George Meade. Members of the Continental Congress attended services here from 1777-1781. The church offers daily morning mass on weekdays, plus a Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning service. If you visit when the church is closed, there are interpretive plaques detailing its significance.

My 4th GGF General Stephen Moylan has his marker here with his friends Barry and Fitzimmons. They started the Friendly Sons of St Patrick and the Priest is fabulous. It was a long time ago but he has been very kind sharing things he knows with me while I am sure he is a very busy man. Thank you for your kindness and sharing history with me. My 4th GGF is credited with naming the country and was a fabulous Fierce War Patriot. Thank you Padre for helping keep his Spirit alive.
