I ended up staying at Cornerstone unexpectedly, after my plans changed last-minute. I was on my way to the airport to head home, when my Penn doctor told me I needed to stay several more days. Without a place to stay, I asked Penn Med staff for a list of recommendations--Cornerstone was at the top. Initially I had wanted to stay there but decided against it, opting for something more economically conservative. Given the circumstances, I decided to make the exception and called them up. That decision turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life. Hospitality personified--the fact that everyone was incredibly accommodating, flexible, and compassionate, made my personal situation infinitely easier. The innkeeper, Brian, welcomed me like I had come home. The rooms were spotless, with ample amenities--like air purifiers, mini-split units, Wi-Fi extender/router in-room, television, private bathroom, hair dryer, mini soaps and toiletries, bottled water and cookies. I was always comfortable and slept great. Really nice rooms with large windows/views of the neighborhood, and plenty of privacy. Downstairs was well-stocked with coffee, tea, and homemade baked items--which were awesome. My favorite part, the B&B experience, was breakfast. It was the best feeling, just being able to sit down and enjoy a huge home cooked meal at a large dining table with strangers. Just being in each other's company, without phones or distractions... it felt wholesome. Looking back on my trip to Philadelphia, I like to think my plans changed, so I could stay at Cornerstone B&B. Safety: I felt safe being out in the general area alone. A lot of other people commuting by foot, especially students. Walkability: Several coffee shops and places to eat within a 5-10 minute walk.

We had a great stay at the Cornerstone B&B. Brian was a great host and helped us a lot. The inn was super and the breakfasts were simply delicious. We would definitely stay there again!

Our stay was completely delightful. We were only here for one night, and both wished we could stay all week. The room was comfortable and clean, the whole space was welcoming, and Brian was particularly wonderful as a host. His food was incredible, especially the breakfast! He ensured that our stay was everything we needed. Weve definitely found the place well be staying when we make the trip out to Philly.

What a wonderful stay! Innkeeper Brian was attentive and helpful. Book direct, friends, because the complimentary cabernet was on point after a long drive. Breakfast was delicious, as were the baked goods in the lobby. Despite being very picky about coffee, I finished the whole carafe. I'm already planning a return visit this summer. See you soon, Brian! Rooms: Immaculate!
