Great speakeasy spot in Philly. There are barber chairs you can take pics in when you first come in but youll have to take your pic and dip lol the staff was fun and friendly. When you first walk in (past the barber chairs), there is a small bar area with one or two tall tables for you to stand/drink at. If you go upstairs, though, theres much more space and way more people. Theres a dance floor, another (bigger) bar with more seating and space. I had a great time here with my friend who was visiting from out of town. Ill definitely be back and would recommend trying them out!

Blind Barber is a confusing space that is unsure what exactly it wants to be and who it is for. In Philadelphia, where there are a number of top tier options for a fun night out, I would not recommend someone spend their time here. The service and drink quality at Blind Barber is good. The menu is small, but the drinks on it were well made. My biggest issue is with the ambience: One small room is fine for chatting with friends or a date like you want in a cocktail lounge, but the seating in the main room is sporadic and disjointed to accommodate a dance floor in the middle of the room. My friend and I were sat next to each other at a bench, when there was plenty of room to just put a chair opposite the bench so that we could comfortably look at each other. There is plenty of space in the room to just add additional tables with a normal seating arrangement. Around 10PM a DJ began playing loud music and a few people were dancing. For the people seated, the music was a lot to deal with and I preferred to just head elsewhere for more drinks and better vibes. For the people who were dancing, the room is not that big and the sound system is not that good, so you'd be better off going to places with an established dance scene (e.g. Concourse, Silk City, Cuba Libre, Tradesman's, etc.). Right now Blind Barber is a so-so cocktail lounge and a so-so dance bar. It has the potential to be an excellent cocktail lounge, so I'm hopeful it will get figured out in the future.

About
Blind Barber Philadelphia
The barbershop used to be more than just a place to get a haircut or shave; it was a hub of the community where people came together to bond, to socialize and to exchange ideas. With the goal of bringing this camaraderie back in style, Blind Barber, a barber shop and parlor with locations in New York, NY, Los Angeles, CA and Brooklyn, NY, has created a concept that goes well beyond cuts and shaves.
