Best Cake Bakery

Birthday Cake was very dry. So disappointed

I was in the Neighborhood and saw the Bakery. Soo I decided to buy a Birthday Cake for my Sister. My Granddaughter and I went into the, Best Cake Bakery and bought a small Vanilla cake with Chocolate Icing. 2 lemon Pound Cakes. And a dozen assorted cookies. This was Friday Afternoon 2/2/2024. We dropped the Birthday cake off to my Sister and went home. Got home and bit into one of the cookies it was hard, dry,old. As were the the other 2 that I tried. The next day my Sister called me and said that there was something wrong with her cake.The Cake is Hard, Old, and full of Mold. The 2 Lemon Pound Cakes are hard also. So this Morning I'm taking the Cakes back!! I'm just going to place them on the counter and take the lost. Because I should have checked the, Website Comments, before spending $50 at this place. I ordered a vegan cake and family and friends did not enjoy. The icing did not taste like buttercream, the cake was very dense, hard and dry.

I hate to write this. It was bad. Bar Mitzvah cookie and pastry trays. I spent over 400 dollars. When ordering i had lots of questions, the owner told me he had been doing this for 30 years. With no website available, and not being from the area, i had no clue who he was. The cannolis had a strange saw dust taste, as did the pastries. The refrigerator items were all wet and hard. Its like a butter substitute is used. No flavor. It was just bad. Not a very welcome environment, dirty glass cases. I should have went with bjs. Kosher and more then half the price. So sad. I hope o5hers have a better experience. All the trays were full at the end of the event. I wouldn't chance it.

Bought knishes because I thought they would be like the ones from the original Lipkin's on Caster Avenue. Bot NOPE! Had to throw them in the garbage. That bad. Just thick dough with a smear of filling.
