Moved my mom here in June and everyone has been friendly and nice! The process went smooth. The movers that were recommended were efficient and respectful. She is safe and has some independence back. Would recommend to anyone to come check it out!

My mothers been here a few months and I have no complaints s far about the care shes receiving on her floor. Everyone in the floor seems nice and attentive but my mom doesnt require much one on one help. However.. Ive had multiple issues with the staff who work at the front desk. Today the man at the front desk (whos name is Aaron) was aggressively yelling at my daughter an I for setting off his alarm while trying to exit my moms floor. There is no one around to let you out. The sticker on the door says press the handle and wait 15 seconds. Thats what I did. But 10 seconds later he was on the other side of the door screaming at me that I did it wrong. If its that serious then someone should be there to let guests in and out or proper instructions should be posted because how else would anyone who doesnt work there know?! Then when I asked him multiple times if there was a supervisor I could speak to he ignored me. I asked him 4 times. Finally he responded with do whatever you want to do I had to go back to my mothers floor to find out who I should contact about it. This is the second time Ive been treated that way by someone at the front desk. Nobody should be made to feel uncomfortable when they come to visit their loved ones! If you dont like your job go work somewhere else Aaron!! Ill be putting in a complaint in the morning. The only complaint I do have about the floor is that ,on multiple occasions, residents have wandered into my mothers room at different times of the day AND during the night and she has to figure out how to get them to leave on her own. She shouldnt have to do that. Im assuming they are patients with dementia. It makes my mom feel unsafe though. Those patients should be watched more carefully for their own safety and the safety of the other residents.

Our loved one moved into the Personal Care section recently, transitioning from a different WEL facility to insure the availability of more care options. The 4+ years he had already paid for in a WEL facility were credited to him toward the 5-year requirement for Benevolent Care assistance, should he run out of savings before he's eligible for Medicaid. For our family, this was a deal-maker. Pennypack Park is a beautiful, clean, and cheerful place to live. The Courtyard is like a park in itself, big, green and inviting, with lots of comfortable seating for resting and visiting. A pair of ducks returns every spring to the Courtyard to raise their ducklings. Water pools are set out for them as they learn to swim! Last week, a contented cow, a large very vocal sheep, and a grass-clipping goat spent the afternoon in the Courtyard for the residents' enjoyment. There was a Mexican Fiesta barbeque the first day we visited. There is always something interesting happening. We see a difference in our loved one since he moved in. He sleeps less, moves about and socializes more readily, and is happier. He likes the food, too. His medical needs are met with diligence. Patrick O'Neil made all these transitions happen for our family. He gave us a great tour, explained the finances to us very clearly, moved quickly to find a suitable room, and provided the name of a small moving company that did a great job. Patrick continues to be available and supportive. The staff are competent, hard-working and very likable. We are pleased with our move to WEL Pennypack, and much more relaxed about our loved one's future now.
