Fire alarm inspectors WILL unlock your door. Painters WILL unlock your door. Maintenance workers WILL make inappropriate comments to female residents. Janitors WILL chase you in the back stairwells at night. The property manager WILL do nothing about it. But, the property manager WILL enter your apartment. The elevator in build "c" WILL shut down weekly. The fire alarms WILL go off bi- monthly. Management WILL continuously change. Management WILL try to play you. If it happened to me, it can happen to you. You've been warned. I moved in February of 2022, let that sink in.

at one point I was going to consider living here but it's not safe. I saw a homeless dirty guy with bed bugs in the lobby and front desk area it was really scary and unsafe.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT RENT HERE. First they turned off all the residents key fobs for the garage because their records were not up to date. They send emails for everything else but didnt send one for that. Second they will lose your rent check and try to make you pay a late fee when theyre at fault. Then theyll blame you for it instead of investigating and trying to figure out what happened. Third the elevator in building C is always broken. But instead of fixing it they put up a sign telling you to use the stairs and are having a Happy Hour instead. Four there have been three building managers since I moved in a year ago. If that isnt a warning sign I dont know what is. It also takes them forever to respond to your emails and calls. Rent at your own risk!! Im sure you can find other apartments in Philly that wont put you through the run around like this place. Update: I finally got a reply from both the build manager and property manager 3 WEEKS after the lost check incident. Its finally being taken care of. Ill come back with an update once they resolve the issue.

Don't trust this place. It's leasing/property manager will not answer your calls, will not respond to your emails. Applications are never sent when she promises. If you get one via the primitive way, unsecured email, PDF style, and you change your mind about getting the apartment, all your personal and confidential information are not deleted even after you ask her to do it 5 times via email. She'll give someone else an apartment you want and lie, saying you should have put a deposit down on it during the tour. It's a scheme. Someone started talking about having war games killing mice in their apartment out loud in the lobby. Highly don't recommend. You get what you pay for. Nothing is finished there, but promises everything. The hallways look like a hospital hallway. Better get LifeLock before you send your info over unsecured email.

Not sure why it's now showing up here as "Marine Cuck Club" apartments, lol.. but anyway.. Lived here off & on over the course of a decade and a half.. First while raising my daughter, when she was a student across the street.. later, she stayed long and short terms for teaching and extended stays for rehearsals for TV gigs and gala preparations with her partner from Europe. Later, again, stayed here when covid began.. Also stayed from time to time via their airbnb offerings.. Different rooms in different buildings over many years. Although it's not perfect, it beats any and all rental residences I've experienced in Philadelphia... Their rooms are spacious.. the desk staff are very diligent about helping you to get your packages and food deliveries.. The courtyard is an amazing hangout.. the covered garage is the perfect place for keeping your car safe.. It's a pity that the school across the street is no longer what it was.. and likely never will be again, with the retirement of its illustrious director-duo and the replacement with someone far inferior to them.. yet another OWM in the Arts, who has not a very positive record toward females...a man in the Arts who is with female with body-disdain... what's new?.. lack of body-positivity is destroying the Arts.. But, that aside, this is not the fault of the Marine Club.. and I hope that the condo association will cancel their arrangement with the school given this disappointing change. The building itself lends to an ideal location for free-spirited artists who aren't needing a bureaucratic patriarchal corrupt art school system to tell them what to do as artists. There are all kinds of tenants in this historic building and it's easy to meet people... the layout of every room make living comfortable and spacious. The high ceilings are a rarity.. windows provide a lot of light. Overall, I would live there again. :)
