I will preface this review by saying I thought the establishment was clean in spite of the usual grime found caking the streets and sidewalks of Philadelphia. I stepped inside and found it completely empty, I whistled a few times and eventually a nice, anemic waif with purple dyed hair came to help me. The menu is a veritable smorgasbord of "healthy" seeming ingredients that you're supposed to configure into a bowl or smoothie. This was the second aai "bowl" (it comes in a cup) I've ever had, I have no clue what the ideal combination of fruits, aai, goos and deez nuts should be so I just picked things I liked (peanut butter, granola, banana and strawberry). Boy was I apparently wrong with that combo because my end result was a stew of cold peanut butter, drenched granola and several slices of fruit which were ok. I wish they have some guidance on how to make one of these that actually works well. The ingredients seemed fine otherwise, though the peanut butter seemed very sweet. 3 stars because this was half my fault but they should have some prefabricated suggestions available to novices visiting for the first time Edit in response to the business reply: No

Service was very friendly and the store was clean, however the acai tasted like artificial grape flavor / grape medicine. Also, 'bowl' came in a cup. The $15 for the medium size was not worth it.

I love aa bowls but $20 for an aa bowl and its not even that great tasting. First off I should have ran seeing $20 on the menu in Philadelphia knowing it has to be a scam. But I already made the trek through all the road closures and plethora of traffic so I said its too late to go back home empty handed. I then proceeded to order the exact same thing I get at every aa bowl place and as I assumed it was just not upto par. Their aa base is already premade and sits in a machine and is too tart and not flavorful which Im not surprised about since its not being made fresh as aa was meant to be. Would not recommend and would highly advise people do not bring their patronage to this store.

Dear Kaushik, thank you for your comments, 98% of the açai produced in the world is made in Brazil, and nowhere in the USA will you find fresh açai as you mentioned in your comment, our company harvests the açai, extracts the pulp from the fruit and we prepare our own exclusive sorbet that is served fresh in stores. We only use the soft machine to bring a higher customer experience. As for the price of the product offered, I would like to inform you that our prices vary from 11$ to 18$ for 350 ml to 720 ml for the bowls and for the smoothies, the price varies from 9$ to 16$, I would like you to take into account in your comparisons the volume of acai placed in the bowl. We are at your disposal for more information if you need. Thank You Very Much.
