I was late on a bill and they filed with a magistritate. They are doing that for all late bills. To do that to patients is despicable. The therapy is sub-par. Avoid at all costs.

If I could give zero star I would. This place is not at all about helping the people. I called today to make an appointment. The woman on the phone told me sorry we are booking 4 months out and hung up. There was no talking to me to see if something else would work or if we could try to work something out. They should really get professional, courteous and caring people working here. The thing I think these people forget is we are calling for help and when you talk and dismiss people like a number, you're doing more damage to someone then helping. I would never refer anyone here and I will not be calling back here ever again. So sad. Get some respect and consideration for other people and not just worry about your paycheck.

Dear Mr. Flynn,Thank you for sharing your feedback. We would like to clarify that your account was sent to court not for being late but instead for the non-payment of your outstanding balance.Per our policy, we send out monthly statements when a balance is due on an account. You have received a total of 10 statements since October of 2021 to which you have not responded nor have you made an attempt to make a payment or request a payment plan. We are very accommodating if one cannot pay the full amount right away and are happy to set up a payment plan, provided the client contacts our office and requests such a payment plan.In March of 2022, your account was turned over to collections. Again, you did not respond to the collection notices. For a period of 10 months, you have not contacted our office to settle the balance due on your account or to arrange for a payment plan. We have concluded that you had no intention to pay the balance owed.Due to the non-payment and lack of contact with our office, we had no choice but to turn your account over to small claims court for the recovery of the unpaid debt. The financial policy that you signed at the time of registration explained to you that you are responsible for any cost of care not covered by your insurance and the process to be followed in case of past due accounts. To conclude, we are having a difficult time understanding your comment regarding us being despicable. We have provided services to you based on your request. Just like you expect to get paid when you go to work, we expect payment for the services rendered to our clients. That’s how our therapists earn their living. By not paying your bill, you take away from the therapists who are dedicated to making a different in people's lives and helping their clients. We do not believe there is anything despicable about that. However, not honoring the agreements you signed and being responsible for your debts may fall under the forementioned definition.Similarly, at the time you utilized our services, at no point of time you expressed any dissatisfaction with our services. It wasn’t until you received the court notice, you were inclined to share your feedback. Therefore, we must question the validity and genuineness of your comment regarding our services having been subpar. If the services were truly subpar at the time you were receiving our services, we would have appreciated timely feedback so we could accommodate your needs better. We always strive to provide quality services that are beneficial to our clients. We wish you all the best,VITA Counseling Partners

Hello Jennifer. Thank you for your feedback. My apologies for your unsatisfactory experience trying to book an appointment with us today. We only have one person answering new intakes so i am very surprised the person was not courteous. She has been with us for a long time as well. Also, we currently do not have a 4 month wait time and such information would not have been communicated to you. We usually book new clients within 5 business days depending on one's day/time preferences. We only have a short wait for kids as there has been an influx of kid intakes in the last few days. Other than that, there is no 4-month wait time.As the owner of the practice, I would like to make it right so i would kindly ask you to call our office number and click option 4at the prompts which will transfer you directly to my extension. I will be happy to go over your concerns and make sure to address.Again, my apologies for your experience and i am looking forward to hearing from you directly. Have a great day!

Dear Ms. Garmony. Thank you for sharing your comment and rating. We always welcome feedback so we can improve the quality of our services and experience of our clients. To help us better understand your concern or the source of your dissatisfaction, perhaps you could clarify your comment “Money hungry”. After looking into your account, we noticed that you or your dependents received services from our practice for a period of time. Based on the duration of the services rendered and no concerns raised by you at that time, we presume you found our services beneficial and were overall satisfied. We also note that several medical claims filed were denied by your medical insurance carrier due to no coverage. That’s something we have no control over. Your medical insurance carrier mailed out an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to you outlining all medical claims processed under your health benefits. In case of any denied claims, a reason for the denial was stated in the EOB. Therefore, you were aware the claims had been denied due to no coverage and, as a result, were responsible for the cost of services rendered. Additionally, our office mailed to you monthly statements for the balance owed for a period of 20 months with no response from you. If you were experiencing financial hardship at the time, we would have arranged for a payment plan, had you contacted our office and informed us about it. However, we cannot extend such an option unless the client contacts us. We are always willing to make accommodations for our clients who have an outstanding balance and are unable to pay the amount due in full. There were also other options available to you, such as medical coverage under the Pennsylvania’s Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) or other programs offered by the State that provide medical benefits at no cost or at a very low rate to you depending on a household income.Subsequently, in October 2021, you contacted our office to inquire about services again at which point we informed you about the balance owed on your account. In consideration of the circumstances (no medical insurance coverage), our office extended a reduced rate to you which decreased your balance by half. At that time, you agreed to pay the reduced amount owed within 2 weeks or so. After 2 additional months of waiting and no payment received, we decided to engage a collection agency/court to recover the unpaid debt for which you were responsible. Please note that our practice does not receive any government assistance or grants to support our operations. We are self-funded. Just as you expect to get paid for the work completed on your job, so do we for the services rendered to our clients. Medical insurance reimbursements and fees collected from our clients pay the salaries of our mental health professionals who make a living providing the very much needed mental health services, especially during this pandemic, and allow us to continue operating and supporting the members of our community. To conclude, we always value feedback from our clients that is based on our performance and operational aspects that are within our control so we can improve the quality of our services and be more effective in helping our clients. However, negative feedback and ratings of 1 that are based solely on someone being unhappy because of their medical insurance denying claims or terminating coverage, which is not our responsibility nor within our control, are disingenuous and unconstructive. We wish you the very best,VITA Counseling Partners
