Ohiopyle Guest Houses

We stayed one night at the Laurel Guest House while on a cycling trip along the nearby Gap Trail. The home is very neat, clean and convenient to the trail. We never had any face-to-face interaction with the hosts but they left very clear instructions for property AND allowed us to check-in 45-minutes early to clean up before our tour of Falling Water. The rooms comfortable and had everything we needed. The mattresses were rather old. This was not a problem for us but some friends of ours didn't have a great sleep. Ohiopyle is a cute town near lots of outdoor activities but, if you plan to drink alcohol, this probably isn't a place you want to stop. There are a couple of restaurants nearby with mostly pizza, sandwiches, etc. Nothing fancy.

Guest house and rooms were fine and was close to GAP trail. However, no shampoo or or regular soap, liquid hand Softsoap was only provided. Also, only muffins were promised for breakfast due to virus, which is fine. However, nothing was put out in morning at all, not even the muffins.

Stayed in the Laurel Guest House on my ride from Pittsburgh to DC. It was certainly basic is its amenities , but provided a hot shower, a comfy bed, towels, and a safe stay right in town. I would definitely recommend this guest house if you are just looking for a good place to stay without the frills. I will say that there was a full kitchen available for use if you book the whole house.

We were greeted with an envelope at the front door with our name on it. In fact, we never saw anyone except another guest. The room was clean and had great antique furniture. WiFi was easy. Thats the good. The beds were barely adequate. Squeaky mattresses and plastic feeling. No shampoo or shower soap. No breakfast (never promised). Seems to the general rule in all of Ohiopyle. Just adequate and overpriced . This one fits in nicely.
