Worse school my kids have been to. There is a lot of nepotism in the school's management and staff and that filters into the students. They are extremely disorganized and incompetent. They claim to have lost all the work my daughter did during first grade, not even one writing sample! Under the excuse that kids learn in different rithyms they let kids go through grades without teaching them the basic. Taking my kids out of there was the best thing I ever did. They have been in my local public school system for 8 years and are thriving. I would never reccommend them to anyone! And kudos to yelp that was able to filterout reviews from the staff and administration (saw it under filtered reviews.

The Walden School is a wonderful place.  The teachers and administration are warm and welcoming, and the children are happy and content.  Each child is cared for as an individual and receives one-on-one attention where they develop and learn at their own pace.  It really is a unique school.

My daughter is in kindergarten at Walden and is having the kind of experience I wish all children could have. She has observant, highly knowledgeable teachers who seek to know her. She has explored things that she used to feel resistance about and has come home each day excited to go back to school. The philosophy at Walden that children guide their own learning is not an easy one to put into practice, yet our experience is evidence that it is working. Beyond the classroom, Walden is a small school with welcoming, affectionate staff who make it a priority to know all children's names and forge friendly relationships. We are delighted to be there and can't recommend it highly enough.

Worst teachers ever...I agree with the above that  Lori Imbesi not only as a teacher but as a human being should not be in charge of kids.  When you walk in Kathy the school director will sell you on the place, it has a nice building and classes look fun but let me tell you this place is dry, there is no love and emotion, they run this like a military base.  If you have a kid that follows order with no question and you like to pay lots of money for them to learn nothing then this is OK.  But if you have a child that questions things then avoid this place at all cost.  its a the only schools that you cannot watch your kids during the class!!!! in one occasion my daughter was hit by the door and it left a big mark on her cheek.  This was ever reported to me and when I asked the teachers they said maybe we were not in the room!!! how can that be right, its your job to watch the kid and you are not there and when you come back you just do not care to see why the kid cries... I hate this place ...
