Petco Grooming

Spent 10 minutes discussing length, desired outcome, felt comfortable leaving her in the care of Petco. Returned to find that the detailed discussion was irrelevant and the outcome was the exact opposite of what I requested, so much so I could barely recognize my little girl. Will not be returning for grooming services in the future and do not recommend.

I have brought my Shih Tzu puppy there about every 8 weeks since the week I got her. The first visit was the only good cut she actually received. This most recent visit had me in tears. I will say that I brought her in with her body already shaved at 7mm (she got into something it needed done) but her head and tail were still long and fluffy. I asked to keep as much length to her tail as possible just a tiny trim for maintenance. And same with her ears(she did have some matting forming on the end of her ear which I said they could cut that part out if they were unable to de-mat it. Shes a curly hair shihtzu so I understand it can be a bit challenging) When they brought her out she was choppy shaved from head to tail EXCEPT for a small poof on the tip of her tail. I flat out told the woman who gave her to me that my puppy looks hideous and all she did was laugh and say she was going to tell the groomer I said that. I ended up canceling her recurring appointments and am actively seeking a new groomer. The biggest positive about the grooming department is that they truly are all so sweet kind people, it just seems that even with photo references and verbal detailed instructions on what is wanted they kinda do whatever they want. I added the reference picture I showed them for her face/ears as well.

Caitlin is the best. Very friendly..great customer service skills. Awesome groomer. My dog will only allow her to pick him up and groom him. Glad we found caitlin
