image Follow up- on top of everything 4 shower door professionals and two plumbers told us the incline on the floor was not built right and the drain is in the wrong place!! We have water all over the floor when shower door is closed. It will cause thousands to rip up floor move drain and fix. Stay away from Colorway.
We
Eyup, the general contractor of Colorway LLP was impressive at first but ended up being a total nightmare!
I understand there are hiccups when remodeling but Eyup made major mistakes, refused to fulfill what was written in the contract and constructed a tile shower so incompetently that 3 shower glass doors professionals said we will have major problems in the future because of the way he constructed it as the glass doors cannot butt up against tile successfully. Rather one will be against drywall.
First their incompetent plumber did not close a valve and caused a major leak damaging the downstairs ceiling and drywall. He did not speak English as was true with most of the workers which made communication difficult especially with so many problems.
We are not contractors so we looked for directions from Eyup. Our master bath did not have a vent and it was in the contract to install a vent. When my wife was asked if she wanted it she forgot it was in the contract and thought it wasnt needed since it wasnt there originally and Eyup advised it wasnt needed since there was a window. When she told me I immediately researched and found out the bathroom absolutely needed a vent. Just google does a bathroom need a vent and it is an absolute. Otherwise, paint and tiles could be damaged and mold can grow. The idea of opening up a window in the winter is not feasible and not a replacement for the vent. I immediately asked Eyup to meet his contractural obligations and he refused and asked for $550 more to complete the job that was in his contract. The bathroom was unfinished and unpainted with easy access to the ceiling . It could have been installed as in contract designated in the contract as we paid someone else with no problems
He took more time than expected on this job but that was because Eyup did not check that things fit properly before installing them and he was disorganized As stated previously we realize problems do arise but there were SO many egregious mistakes causing us great stress.
He repeatedly installed plumbing that was incorrect -If he had the valves and diverter in his possession and checked that the valve and diverter were a match and worked together prior to installation it would have saved all the extra time and anxiety he put us through 3 different times . Instead, first the original valve was used from my old existing shower and of course that did not match. Second, he installed the next valve without having the diverter in possession to match it and make sure it was right and proceeded to install all the tile in the shower. Again this was not a match..this horrible error resulted in Eyup cutting a huge hole in our wall and causing us more unnecessary distress and worry.
The general contractor is responsible for everything and we are sincerely disappointed that he did not meet his contractural obligations and give us the right advice about the vent. It seems Eyup just wanted to make up time and money at the end and did not want to satisfy us even though it was delineated in the contract because he had to spent so much additional time on this job correcting the problems he created!
Now we are forced to hire someone else to install the vent since Eyup breached his contract.
Additionally, and most importantly we have great concerns about the shower since all 3 glass experts said it wasnt built correctly and that the glass should attach to tile. We have to just wait and see if problems arise with the shower.
The wall behind the vanity could have been adjusted so the wall was completely flat with tile as the closet behind it does not interfere.
We anticipate thousands of dollars in repairs to correct the damage created by Colorway

So, This is from your side, And lets see from our side now, there are many false info in your review i don’t know where to start, but i ll take my time and will provide answers patiently. First, when i come there for an estimate, i listened you guys, exactly what you looking for, You guys showed us what area needs tiles and how ,and we did exactly whatever on the plan, Second, Yes my plumber, he doesn’t speak english well, but he is a master plumber, you are correct, he made a mistake, thats end of world? and we apologized many times, and we did fix your ceiling and painted,Third, You are saying, “We are not contractors so we looked for directions from Eyup” You are saying that, but you can decide my plumber is incompetent, how you judge like that. So when the time come, you guys are master contractor no worries, Also, You guys have so many opinions about work process but the problem is, you guys have no any knowledge. So other stuff is vent, You are definitely right, it was in contract. But your wife told me, i don’t need that because i have a window up there, And you are saying.“The bathroom was unfinished and unpainted with easy access, correct bathroom was unpainted, but we covered all the drywall and taped finished drywall work, Fourth,you are saying, “It seems Eyup just wanted to make up time and money at the end and did not want to satisfy us” Respond; thats our favorite part of your review loved it, read our other reviews in here, This is definitely not us, we do always extra work for our customer without no charge (depends on work of course) as i did many in your house too, maybe you don’t know, if you have time one day, look around the house please, Here is the list.install new wires and switch for powder room mirror light.Install new lines and switch for recessed lights for garage entryyour steps area 3 walls paintingInstall many hardware in bathrooms and many more small work, Now, look at the work contract please which one of those are in there? Did we charge any money for all that extra work ? I was in Ferguson plumber supplier, (this is the biggest one all east side of USA) they gave me something, even part old style and didn’t match, and they apologized about it. You are saying”this horrible error resulted in Eyup cutting a huge hole in our wall”Respond; And we left the holes open after that ? Why you are not explaining rightly? we put it up back and taped patch and painted again . And you guys were happy after final coat results. I gave my all advices again, and i corrected many mistakes up there

1.Eyup did not obtain a permit for the remodel, we have since been told reputable contractors all seek permits. If he had sought a permit his mistakes regarding the shower would have been pointed out by the code inspector. Now we have to wait and see if the glass shower doors fail as was predicted by experts because the shower was not constructed correctly. If that happens the tile will have to be demolished and rebuilt costing us thousands more.
2 Eyup missed the point regarding the vent in the master bathroom. When my wife asked him he told my wife not to install the vent as there was a window and she respected his advice. I knew this was a mistake as we had problems with old bathroom without a vent so I clearly and immediately told Eyup we needed the exhaust vent that was in the contract. It was a necessity. Instead, he chose to strongly argue that he would not install it, breach the contract and ignore his contractural obligations.
3.We had the vent installed this weekend by an electrician in the finished master bathroom where Eyup should have installed it. The electrician had no problems installing it with no mess or problems with drywall and Mr Eyup could have easily installed it with no problems satisfying the contract - he chose not to.
4.We do not agree with his response but there is one thing that I want to respond to. Eyup asked why did we pay him in full? We paid him because he did do work, not entirely to our satisfaction noted above, so we felt obliged to honor the contract that we signed by paying it. That was our obligation. Also he angrily argued about not putting in the vent which intimidated us and to be safe we felt we had no choice but to pay.
I suggest that if Eyup is a man of his word and his reputation means anything, he should refund us the $550 he said it would cost to install the exhaust vent. If he sends me the check for $550 I will note this in this review and it will aid in satisfying me. If he does not then let these words signify that he did not fully honor our contract.

FIRST OF ALL, you are keep rating us with 1 star review on same case, and i m warming you, i will create a claim about you on google, I am positively sure they will block your or your wife account and email, After they search about claim which is very clear1- We are licensed and insured working over almost 8 years, permit was not problem at all, in that case we did not do anything structural. I told you guys thousands times, you don’t need to demolish anything, there are many ways to put shower door up there, 2- I never advised not to put vent up there, your wife came to me, and told me, but of course believe your wife, understandableBut just use your mind, i made list for you guys prior responding, and i put the works that we did all without no charge, Do you think, person who did all that extra works without no charge, couldn’t have put a vent up there ? Problem was drywall installed and patched3- “”We had the vent installed in the finished bathroom and Mr Eyup could have easily installed it with no problems””Again You guys have so much opinions without any knowledge i m tired of correcting you guys, but i ll keep doing that, in that bathroom, yes definitely was so easy, because you already had vent up there, We just changed existing vent with the new one, we didn’t install any new lines wires switch etc, explaining again, if you look up your ceiling in master bathroom, you not gonna see old vent there, that’s why, it is not easy as like other bathroom.
