I have considered switching to another garage for some time as the one I was going to was just too far & limited in their availability to make it work as a busy & working individual. After my experience at T&A Automotive, I will be switching to this garage for all my future automotive needs for maintenance and repairs. About a month ago, my check engine light came on. I didnt take it in right away because I honestly didnt have the time or money to look further into it. A few weeks later, I noticed my engine was running hot each time I was driving it. My check engine light had gone on and off in between so I wasnt sure if it was one of those old car issues where something was going wrong but wasnt critical or not. (For reference, my car is almost 20 years old) Understandably so, my car decided that it WAS a critical issue and started smoking one day while I was driving to work. I just made it to work safely when my engine shut off. I started calling a few garages in the area that werent going to cost me an arm and a leg to tow my now-overheated car to. I strongly recommend anyone to check their car insurance for towing policies as I was able to get mine towed for free! (Thanks Root!) I cold called T&A Automotive the same day and connected with Angel, who worked with me to start figuring out what was going on. He mentioned that he could aim to look at my vehicle later that afternoon or early next day. I had to drop off my registration & insurance later after work since I took it out of my car before it was towed. Angel had already taken a look at my car at that point and stated that my head gasket had failed and my radiator had cracked. He even took a few minutes to show me where the radiator cracked and talked me through what happened in my system to cause a failure. It was a great learning experience to help build my knowledge. Compounded with stress after that day, I asked Angel to give me an estimate. He called me the next day to give me an estimate and when I called back, I asked for a work order in order to proceed. Angel quickly sent me a work order while we were on the phone and even walked me through each of the charges for all the line items. It made me feel better knowing what exactly I would be paying for, and knowing how the repair was going to be completed & prevent future damage. The turnaround time was about a week, start to finish, due to the level of work associated with the repair & the built-in time for sending the head out for resurfacing (which was included in the estimate and something I never considered for the repair). Angel called me when the work was completed & gave me a receipt for the payment. Since my oil was still good from my last oil change, he took the cost off the invoice & even noted that he was able to fix my HVAC system by cleaning the connections to my engine & replacing a part (which had been not working for about 6 months but wasnt essential to me - having a car is expensive!! ) as the part of changing out the head gasket is checking the connections to the engine. I was FLOORED because I had only asked for an estimate on getting it repaired when he called earlier after my car was read and asked if I knew it wasnt working. It didnt even add anything to my work order and actually came in under the quoted amount!!!! The level of quality and customer service is five stars and I greatly appreciate Angel for kindly walking me through the whole process with professionalism and respect. He noted that I can also drop my car off before work and they can give me a ride to work since it is not too out of the way, which is AMAZING as convenience is part of the reason I have put off the work so much. They were even kind enough to quickly mail back my registration & insurance after I accidentally left it behind!!!! This place is a GEM and I will be telling all my friends and family about this place and I will definitely be back soon for my inspection!
