Tony’s Mining Company Restaurant

I only want to leave positive reviews but I didn't enjoy my experience. Some very specific observations: I don't understand the Japanese hand cleansing before eating. It's not a Japanese restaurant and they don't offer a towel to dry your hands afterward. Our waitress couldn't explain the point and it felt tacked on for no reason. The waitress also dropped boiling water all over the table. Figure out a better method of delivery for this or axe it before someone gets hurt. Meat and cheese board was overpriced. Mostly pepperoni, salami, and some hard Italian cheese. Mustard was good but the jam was medicinal. Caesar salad presentation was bizarre. It was romaine leaves individually dressed. Inconvenient to eat. House salad was bland, they said it had a maple dressing but it didn't taste like anything, even with the vegetables, just a weak dressing taste. These are also not included in an entree which was deliberately deceptive, an extra $24 for salads I would not have ordered otherwise. I got the ribeye special with Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was so smoky I couldn't eat it. It also looked like it sat under a lamp or microwave. Certainly not fresh. Service was ok, not sure if our waitress was new or what. The bussers were very attentive. It wasn't all bad. My wife had the Ahi special and it was good. It's a neat environment but the men's room was dirty, urine on the walls that clearly haven't been cleaned in some time. It was my wife's birthday and I love celebrating birthdays with a great meal and a great experience. I was really let down by this restaurant.

Our server Ryan was fantastic! Super attentive & very personable. Fast service as well. We got the Salmon & Steak. Food was great. Highly recommend this place for a date night!
