Great place to sit in traffic for 30 min while they block commuters with no train in sight.

A somewhat infamous spot for commuters in the local area. Whoever owns this station, whether it be the township or somebody else, seems to have $truck a deal with CSX, which appear to use this as some sort of supply station for either adding/ refueling/ modifying arrangements of freight cargo trains. The problem is, this section of track intersects with 2 main roads, with only 2 (long) alternative routes available. And wait times are s-l-o-w, sometimes (and I was stupid enough to wait this long) exceeding 30 minutes, which is totally absurd. If this township weren't so cheap it would be an obvious spot to construct an underpass. That said, the station itself is quite nice and it is a great spot for train enthusiasts as others have mentioned. But the effects on local traffic are totally unacceptable. EDIT: Forget being charitable, I'm changing my rating to 1 star. With a recent investigation being launched into CSX blocking traffic at this station, it seems like they have been behaving themselves. But if you get rid of one rat, another one inevitably takes its place. SEPTA is now parking their trains at this station and blocking traffic for extended periods of time. It's very difficult to not use abusive and/ or obscene language here... But these punks are potentially messing with people's livelihoods with how often and how long they block traffic. On a main thoroughfare. During rush hour. It's totally unacceptable. I'd say do better, but that's obviously not gonna happen. All you/ we can do is complain to state legislature. So to CSX, SEPTA, the local government managing this station: you can all get bent.

Im giving this station 1 star strictly because the hold up/not even moving traffic is absolutely ridiculous. I understand its related to CSX transportation and its 2 major tracks- but there needs to be a better way/system I lived in this area for 20 years and it just seems to be getting worse and worse.
