$682 vs $272 It is my First time filing Taxes here in Pennsylvania and looking for an office that would help me prepare them I found this office of Jackson Hewitt where they spoke English and Spanish where I was attended by Laura Campos, a very friendly person and with an excellent treatment. BUT.. WHY DO I PUT ONLY 1 STAR? Well, thats why, for their attention, their friendly and helpful treatment, since I cant give the other 4 stars because there was a lack of transparency from the beginning when I asked how much they charged to prepare my taxes, to which she always replied: - Dont worry young man, we are going to help you here. BUT. At the end, when she told me how much the Jackson Hewitt Office was goint to charge me for collecting my Taxes I tought she was joking. $589 dollars !!! She very politely explained to me that that was what the office charged for doing the Tax preparation but that in my case because it was the first time they where going to make a discount and in the end I only had to pay $510 dollars plus another payment of $172 dollars that she sent me to pay in another office I paid a total of $682 dollars for my Jackson Hewitt Tax preparation and I only received a $272 refund !!! My Family and Friends keep telling me that Jackson Hewitt earned more than I did. Tip: - If you dont want to run into a surprise like this, demand from the beginning that they tell you how much the services they are going to provide you are going to cost you, not only here in this office, but to any other person you go. - Do not trust if they only tell you that they are going to help you, demand costs, because otherwise in the end you will have to pay, and a lot.. And when you talk to your friends about your expensive experience with Jackson Hewitt and they give you the cheap reference to they did their taxes with, saving their money, you are going to feel like that office stole from you That you were cheated..
