LFS is more than a school, it is a community. Smaller class sizes with mixed age grouping makes for more personalized learning as well as mentorship between older and younger students as they grow. They are inclusive, respectful of individuality, and provide true belonging for all. The school also has a focus on social justice, peace, environmental protection, and community service. We have been with the school since they opened their doors and hearts in 2021, and we plan on staying up through every grade offered. Lancaster Friends School has enriched my child's life in ways that public school never would or could.

As a parent, we have found LFS to be a welcoming, kind environment with high quality academics. The Friends approach to learning combined with small classroom sizes has allowed our child to flourish academically. We had been told repeatedly private school education does not support the needs of a child with an IEP but we've found the Quaker educational model has been amazing for our child with the individualized approach to learning. The daily schedule centers how a child learns and the classroom climate encourages respect. Our child is working at a higher academic level than they ever had before enrolling at LFS. We highly recommend this school!

This school is one of the best schools I've gone to, I'm a student here at LFS, and they've made my learning here fun. I definitely recommend this school for k-8th grade.

My child enjoys the smaller classes, the individualized learning based on his skills, the amazing, well-educated staff, and the amount of outdoor time/field trips offering true learning experiences...a great dedication to social justice and helping others in the community..overall, we find this to be a great educational space!

Amazing community; very Covid safe. Rigorous math and language arts; real-life problem-solving in science; Spanish, music, and so much more! Community service work as part of the curriculum, and social justice in action.
