    Apparently they drop out of networks and do not tell their patients, sad a friend cannot get their results until they pay the bill in full

    This would be a Five star review except their practice mismanagement software is BRUTAL; The software developers and whoever talked them into buying it did not understand patient perspective at all. Its a shame cause there are off the charts clinical presentation, Neuropsychiatric examination and testing skills present in this practice. In addition there are really kind and nice front end and testing personnel all being held back by a software system called Therapy Appointment that simply is Dreck. My rating will change when the software maker can make corrections. For now, the presence of this software makes fair relating with a professional you paid all but excruciating.

    Made a ton of phonecalls to do the leg work to verify insurance coverage. Spent hours on paperwork for this office. They refused to be bothered billing out of network for my insurance and wanted me to pay up front out of pocket (which would be well over a grand) and submit everything myself. Lost almost two months of time and hours of paperwork and have to start over elsewhere. Don't bother. Horrible billing practices.

Wanda,Thank you for sharing your concerns. It is a bit difficult to address the specifics about your friend in a Google review as we have to be conscientious of your friend's HIPAA privacy rights as well as the APA Ethics Code that guides our service delivery. To the two issues you raised, however, please be advised that [#1] we recently ended a relationship with a particular insurance carrier after numerous unsuccessful efforts toward a more equitable relationship aimed at improving service delivery to our patients. In the process, we asked all our clinicians [i.e., Psychologists, LCSWs, LPCs, LMFTs & LSWs] to communicate the unpleasant outcome of our negotiation with said insurance company. We deeply regret that our efforts to secure a more reasonable contract with that insurer were unsuccessful, ultimately affecting our clients whose coverage was through that particular carrier. Our clinicians communicated several options with their patients, fully aware that it would be difficult to resolve everyone's concerns in a satisfactory manner. In response, several of our patients reached out to that insurance company and the carrier reached out to us [07/28/2023] to say that they are now revisiting their previous decision. In the meantime, however, if your colleague remains interested in another review of their options, it would be wise to contact our Clinical Director for a meeting or telephone call to resolve this matter. On the second matter, [#2] please be advised that our entire staff typically communicates the nature and cost of services to clients. Thus, everyone who obtains services from our office is typically informed about the services that will be provided to them and related costs of this work. Although our office routinely submits claims to insurance carriers, we also communicate that the member can expect to assume responsibilities for services rendered as prescribed by their insurance company [copays, deductibles, etc.]. Again, we can not delve into the specifics of your friend's situation, but we would like the opportunity to help them meet with their provider to review their results.Thank you for being a great support to your friend.
