I joined Family Medicine Downtown as a resident doctor in 2017, and after graduating residency stayed on as a faculty attending physician. Before residency, IÂ studied history at Bryn Mawr College and earned my MD and MA in urban bioethics at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. I practice inpatient adult medicine, outpatient medicine, and non-operative obstetrics. I have extra training in family planning.Â I'm anÂ LGBTQI affirming physician and include anti-racism work and health at every size principles in my practice. Dr Kirchner has a genuine approach of benevolence with her viewpoint on health care as a human right, highly educated and knowledgeable in her medical assessment, and a integral part of the Lancaster General Healthcare system. Thanks for being a important part of my healthcare!! J

Where to even begin....it is truly horrifying knowing that someone so inconsiderate, incompetent and arrogant is allowed to practice medicine especially in a place dedicated to welcoming babies into the world. Our experience with Dr. Kirchner was something I will never forget. This is someone who you should absolutely steer clear of if you plan to deliver at Women and Babies hospital, refuse to see her. After our child was delivered she talked to us in the most disrespectful way and it was disgusting to the point I will never forget it. She continued to push a treatment that was completely unnecessary and when I questioned why she was recommending it or if she could provide more information she just kept saying "I don't know" and never could give us an answer. When you have people like her making recommendations based on information she cannot provide it is very very scary. I am sure she is used to bullying people into getting treatments they do not need. We knew it was not just us when the staff at the hospital told us multiple times that this is an issue with her and her team and they were proud of us for standing up to her. I question whether there is something else going on there that needs to be investigated further. Please for your sake stay away from her. It is so sad because every other aspect of the care team at the hospital was great, but she has forever scarred our family.
