For me, it hasn't been just one good experience but rather good experiences overall living at the Square. Maintenance gets high grades from me. I have had very few issues but those I had were handled very promptly. The maintenance staff so easy to deal with, very kind and very professional. The grounds are maintained well and the building overall is cleaned regularly. Being 2 miles from Downtown Lancaster and with proximity to Route 30, it is a great choice and asset to rental living near Lancaster.

this apartment served us well. the apartments are very nice and spacious, it's in a convenient area, there's plenty of parking, and the elevator is definitely convenient when trying to get groceries up multiple floors. the staff has always been friendly and responsive to any issues that arise. it's nice that it's pet friendly. it's right next to the hacc campus which has a nice little paved walking loop which we enjoy. however, it has its downsides too. like a previous reviewer mentioned, there's a lot of road noise. when we moved in you could definitely tell they'd rushed to finish these apartments (they were brand new) and a variety of things were broken or not hooked up properly. however we really haven't noticed much noise from the other apartments which is excellent. there was also a period of multiple months where the single entry door kept getting jammed so you couldn't get in unless someone from inside opened the door. they have since replaced the door locking system with one that's been much better, but there really should be a second entrance, and it took way too long for them to solve that issue. a related issue is that since that there's no good package handling system. delivery workers will try to call the apartment to get access to the building, but if they can't get through they just leave the packages by the door, which is completely uncovered so if it rains you end up with some soggy packages. i also feel like they're pretty expensive for what you get. they're nice apartments for sure, but you can find similar (albeit older) units in the same area for a similar cost if not cheaper with community amenities like pools, dog parks, or fitness centers. this building has an elevator and that's about the only extra amenity you get.

I have found the staff to be very responsive, both the office staff and the maintenance personnel. There is no problem with parking at all. The only problem I have with this apartment is the noise. There is significant road noise both day and night - very loud trucks, motorcycles and muscle cars revving and taking off to I have no idea where - but those noises are there and the apartment does not filter them out. The other problem I have is that I can hear everything that is happening in the apartment above me. I am on the second floor so no one is below me, but I hear the people above me walking, vacuuming, cooking, playing video games and TV. I hear nothing from the apartment next to me or the one across from me. It gets annoying but we have been very careful about keeping our TV down due to the noise from above, for fear they are hearing us. It could be alot worse if there were kids. Also the rent is quite high considering that there are no amenities at all except for valet trash removal. Their other properties have very nice areas to meet - doggie park on the roof - areas to just hang out on the roof - etc. I am able to have my 2 cats which is wonderful - but I pay an extra $100 per month to be able to have them. So would I recommend this apartment complex - yes and no - it is a beautiful apartment - but comes with many issues.
