When I picked it up my laptop was repaired and operational.
I didn't check the external drive until a few months later... My fault!!!
What I found was ALL my data on the backup drive was "encrypted" into a file that could not be open!!
... It seemed that during the transfer they mistaken their work drive with my backup drive and unfortunately coded my drive as unusable... formatting it.
I was beyond shocked... It was months after the service... If I had gone back to the store I would have lost it and the employee would've blame it on me... He acted as all knowing cyborg...
So I saved myself the frustration I did nothing at the time... I still have the drive with alfa-numeric encryption to prove it...
I kept the subscription with understanding that the service is miss and hit.
I believe that THE employee who serviced my computer still works there... At least I saw him there last year.

Have your backup drive backed up before you drop it off at the mercy of the geek squad...
