Not a bad school overall. Though it definitely isn't the most diverse.

To all parents thinking of moving to Unionville Chadds Ford school district need to know all schools get their rating from the PSSA testing. UCFSD spends most of the year teaching our children to take these tests so the school can get a better rating and for more funding. So teaching of real subjects is left behind. I went to a school board meeting this past August and was shocked and disgusted with how the school board handled themselves. There are MANY heated topics roght now and parents wanted to be heard. They gave us each a 3 minute limit. The first parent stepped up and was giving his speech, which had very valid points along with statistics and where he got his info. You could tell he spent quite a bit of time preparing his speech. When the 3 minutes were up the board told him to take his seat. Many parents were saying he could take their 3 minutes but the board said no. When the parent continued speaking the board shut off his mike and THEY ALL WALKED OFF STAGE!!! So much for listening to the parents. After that night they decided, because they couldn't handle listening to the parents, that they now will be holding school board meetings via Zoom, this is in writing, it has nothing to do with the virus. They are teaching our kids CRT/SEL. If you don't know what that is please research it. There is supposed to be no political propaganda in school ... teachers have all kinds of political stuff in their classrooms. In fact when Trump won, one of my son's teachers cried in class that day. My son's current 11th grade teacher was promoting hatred of America. In 9th grade gym class all children were made to hug everyone. That may sound nice and all fuzzy feelings but it is a total violation of the kids and their bodies. I could go on and on about why you may want to rethink this school district. As of right now many of us parents are rallying together to try and make big changes in this district with huge push back. They have their agenda and they don't plan to make any changes let alone listen to us parents. I'm so sorry I moved here specifically for this school district. I gave it 2 stars only because there are a few teachers my son likes.
