I had my 30 week pregnancy check up with Dr. Mecs this morning. I was in the hospital a couple days ago for cramping and some bleeding. I told him about it at my appointment and all he said was "monitors don't lie you're fine". I asked him what would be the cause for the cramping and he just told me "well now you know what Braxton Hicks feels like" (this is my first baby so I had no idea) Its a constant cramp but he didn't seem to care and moved on. I sat in the room for 30 minutes he came in NEVER ONCE told me who he was (This was my first time meeting him) he just walked in told me to lay down and then started the exam. He told me we should name our baby after an actor since my last name is Gardner I told him "oh we have a name picked out, were naming her Autumn" he said "that doesn't make sense your not even having her in Autumn why would you name her that?" I laughed it off like no big deal. He wouldn't even give me a minute to ask I had to call the office to ask questions!

Dr Mecs literally saved me. He did my total hysterectomy and I feel so much better now. Nice office staff as well.

as someone who is 18 years old and had 7 surgeries i have never been to a doctor who is more judgmental and ignorant then dr mecs. I recently had a surgery to remove endometriosis, well he came in and continued to pretty much tell me i shouldnt be in this much pain, thats hes worked on other women and they werent in as much pain as i was. First of all im 18, scared, and obviously in pain. So he is a good doctor but, his bedside manners suck. i think its time i find a new doctor.
