    I used to get extra help for my prescriotion drug plan that ended in Dec 2021. Nov 2023, they notify me they were just informed the extra help ended in Dec 2021. Billing me for the difference ($246) for 2022 and 2023. Four times they changed my payment method from SSA to direct billing without my permission and blamed Social Security. Social Security told me I am the only one who can change it and I would have to tell United Healthcare and they would notify Social Security. I never gave them permission to change it. I asked for verification they were never notified about the extra help ending until Nov 2023, they told me they can't because it's confidential information in their system. I asked about a payment plan for the $246, they never responded to that request. Just received three letters from them dated 4-2-24, informing me of my premium amount with extra help for the year 2022, 2023 and 2024. I don't qualify for extra help based on my income and have not reapplied. Where are they getting the information from? Also they sent back to Social Security $80.40 for the difference in premium for the first three months of 2024 because they say I get extra help. Medicare and Social Security never notified them I'm getting extra help this year. I'm at my wit's end with them. I now have to write another letter to the grievance coordinator to find out what the heck is going on! I'm also sending the new letter to the head of United Healthcare maybe they can straighten this mess out. I have my supplement plan with them also, never had any problems. Update 4-11-24 Social Security confirmed today, I don't have extra help. They never notified United Healthcare I was back on it. I called one and half hours later even after talking to a supervisor, who I had to explain what extra help was, and was told they can't remove the extra help from the system until Medicare notifies them. Medicare never notified them to add it again. Blood pressure through the roof!

    This is the worst insurance I have ever had. They deny medication, make you send more information, deny again. Tell you to appeal. Why? My doctor and I dictate my health care. Not the insurance company!
