UPDATE - one year later and I'm sad to see the reviews still mention how poorly run the pharmacy is and how they still don't answer the phone. After I filed my complaint with corporate I spent 20 mins on the phone with a regional manager who claimed she was appalled and was going to be telling the territory manager about this and ensure something was done to correct the issue. Clearly they just DO NOT CARE. Avoid this place like the plague! Nobody ever answers the phone in the pharmacy. I've been calling for days and it's the same extended hold time and then an endless ring with no pick up. I filed a complaint with corporate today as this is unacceptable and appears to be the norm based on other recent reviews.

The pharmacy leaves you on hold for hours at a time. I walked in after 47 minutes on HOLD just to see two pharmacists LAUGHING and chit chatting while the phone is RINGING right by them. What is going on here?

We have been using this pharmacy for a while and had no complaint until now. The pharmacy was closed from Friday due to the pharmacist' family emergency. Todayt is Sunday...My husband is serious ill and was proscribed antibiotics on Friday. The prescription was sent to this pharmacy without the doctor and patients knowing it was closed. So we have gone to the pharmcy three days in a row and was told it would open the next day. On Saturday we were told to go to a nearby Wallgreen which the prescribiton was transferred. However, we went there only to find out that only the auto renewals have been transferred and our "new" prescription could not be sent over. Per thestaff, nobody has access to the computer to transferr the information. Apparently, the store doesn't have emergency coverage and a backup plan. With so much Wallgreen resources around, they should not disappoint customers day after day. At least, there should be a way to transferr patents prescrition to another openning Wallgreen! Seeing my husband lying so sick on the bed, I am really really frustrated!!!

Could not believe this Wallgreen was closed for almost 3 days and doesn't have a backup plan when its pharmacist had a family emergency. With so much Wallgreens around and an integrated Wallgreen pharmacy system, they still locked up patients prescription information for 3 days (over the weekend) so we could not get badly needed medicine. The store manager justed cited she could not do anything due to HIPAA and "legally they could close the pharmacy for 3 days." HIPAA is for protecting patients privacy, and it is not an excuse for anyone to stop providing medical prescription for 3 days..The Wallgreen pharmacy system needs to have a better emergency coverage plan! There must be easy options in the Wallgreen system to cover such a situation, which need to be installed here to prevent it happens again.
