Bob Wampler of B&L Tax & Accounting Services is the most unprofessional businessperson I have ever came in contact with. I have had my taxes done by him for the past 6 years after I married my wife because her and her family have been using him since she was born. In 2020, we could not get in contact with him after making endless efforts of calling daily and also driving to his residence (which is his business also) and finally he did call us 2 days before the taxes had to be filed. He e-filed our taxes like always but this year he screwed up the account number and our refund never made it to our account. When we called him and asked where our refund was, he said it was because of "Covid" and we would have to file it on our 2021 taxes. He is the kicker...we show up this year and that's when we notice he screwed up the account number and he told us to try and re-send the paperwork via the post office even though the IRS states not to do this. This year's taxes were done by him and when we meet with him to discuss what happen in 2020, he got mad and called us "liars" and told us to get out of his house and take the returns with us. ONE STAR IS OVERRATED FOR THIS BUSINESS.

A rating of (1) one is too high.After weekly calls and weekly emails (if not daily) since the end of February, 2020 - I continuously did not receive a response from Bob Whampler of B&L Tax & Accounting Services.  This AFTER I sent all of my paperwork to him to complete my 2019 Tax Returns.The issue isn't  doing or not doing my 2019 tax returns (which thankfully after 5 months of having my paperwork, B&L / Bob Whampler did actually complete them).   BUT this man does not know how to run a business, especially a business that involves individuals' taxes. HE DOES NOT communicate.  Does NOT answer the phone.  I didn't know if he had passed away or even received my paperwork.  Given COVID-19 and the lock-down, I didn't know if he was sick or even alive.  But still after repeatedly sending emails and trying to leave messages (when the voice mailbox would accept them - as more than often it was full), he did not return correspondence. As such, I drove to his place of residence/ work address to retrieve my receipts and tax papers.  Of course, he did not answer the door but rather called me when he found out I was in his driveway.   At which time he said that the tax returns were completed and that he would ship my completed tax returns on Monday, May 11th via overnight.  The tax returns did not ARRIVE as promised. Nor did he mail them..... Today is June 20, 2020 (roughly 6 weeks from my drive to Harrisburg) my tax returns have shown up.  The lack of urgency. ... Lack of service. .... And the lack of communication baffles me! These are basic needs to running business.

Horrible professionalism...does not even shake your hand when you meet him. He does not return emails, nor does he return simple phone calls.  He is rude in person as well. He may or may not be a decent accountant, but he lost not only a prospective customer....but many referrals that I will not issue.
