Great for a lunch for family's in need. Also good place to get blankets or cold weather gear if you need it in a pinch!!!

I was homeless here several years ago. This is labeled an interfaith homeless shelter, yet they give you only a few days to get your whole life together (find work, etc), and since I didn't find a job in 2 days, they told me I wasn't able to be taken in, and I slept outside on a bench. I felt horrible. They don't care about the homeless and the food at their 'soup kitchen' is horrible. It made me feel stomach pain and tasted awful. People who donate horrible food to the homeless are not doing a service, they are basically throwing away what they wouldn't eat. This isn't a homeless shelter. It's a waste of money, to whoever funds this for horrible case management and people running it who do not care to see the homeless for who they are. The place smelled like bleach and made my respiratory system have cold symptoms, and this was before the COVID-19 pandemic. This place does not have the spirit of God in it. It's an ungodly place, that treats the homeless like animals and collects data, where they boast the numbers of beds slept in and meals fed. It was very weird that they expected me to find a job in 2 days, yet they stressed me out to the extreme. This shelter is more bad than good for the community. I pray that whoever reads this, who has influence, stops funding this chaos. Many people wonder why the homeless choose to sleep outside, and the answer is easy to figure out when they treat the homeless like animals and attempt to control their every move.
