I an not normally someone to put a review on Google but I feel this needs to be put out there for future customers. I contacted Davidson plumbing to come look at an issue with my toilet bubbling when the washer would drain. I was informed over the phone that the rate is $95 and hour starting from when the technician leaves their establishment. It is a 16min drive one way from their establishment to my home. Two plumbers arrived at 8:39am per the ring door bell. After looking over the issues i received a call spoke to one of the plumbers on the job about what was found and we even discussed about me doing the work myself and even how to do the job, witch I appreciated greatly! After asking how long the job would take i was told they would be done by 12:00pm after some quick math im my head of labor and what parts would cost, I gave the ok to make the needed repairs. After watching them on my home cameras and my ring doorbell going off most of the day I received a phone call at 12:36pm saying they where done and resolved the issue. After contacting the company to discuss how much I would owe I was told that the bill was almost $900 (double what it should have been) after asking why it was so high we where at this time informed that bc they put 2 plumbers on the job I had to pay for both of them to be there and do the work. At no point in time was I made aware of this, if I had been, I would have said not to proceed with the work. When I called and expressed my displeasure and asking why I was never informed that 2 plumber's where required and i would be charged more per hour I didn't receive a direct answer! I was told they made the decision to use 2 plumbers due to the fact they had to dig a hole. The plumbers had no idea they had to dig a hole in the beginning of the day. Per all of my cameras and ring door bell they used 2 plumber's from start to finish. So the reasoning for sending 2 made no sense, and even so, I should have been informed I'm paying for both before they were sent. So instead of the original $95 an hour I was told, it was actually $190 and hour plus material. The work was doubled in price. In their defense the plumber's and everyone where very nice and respectful! I have nothing against them!

We had an emergency this morning in the basement, called our regular plumber who referred us to Davidson H&C for this job. Within minutes I called Davidson and spoke with the nicest lady named Mary, she said its your lucky day, I have a team here ready to be sent out -they should be there within about 15 minutesand they were!!! Well Im sorry I didnt get these two fellas names but they were greatthey got right to work assessing and diagnosing the situation, very knowledgeable, friendly, and gave us an easy to understand explanation of the situation. They were hard workers, funny stories and laughter shared which made the situation at hand feel lighter easing our anxiety. The job was complete in a timely manner and out the door to their next assignment I suppose. Ive lived in Hanover all my life and have driven by Davidson 1000 times- never even dawned on me to contact them with a plumbing or HVAC situation but I am so glad that we were referred to them today! We would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them in a crisis or in an every day situation, where we just need a good plumber or an HVAC guy!! Kitchen remodel. They took my info and needs, and had me call back closer to time of needing water disconnected and set up for cabinet install. It was a bit involved, eliminating garbage disposal (electrical done elsewhere, i removed it physically) changing out old shut off valves and damaged copper piping leading to dishwasher, split bowl sink to single bowl sink, etc. I called like the thursday before the July 4 weekend as I got short notice from home depot on cabinet install, to set up the plumbing work so not to be without a sink too long. They were flexible on short notice to schedule , were so professional, no bill up front which Is not typical in my experience. Came back later once countertops installed, to do the hook up and one other job I added. 1 Minor issue but they came out, fixed it, explained it, and no extra charge as their bills easy to follow on billable labor hours. Bill just came in and was really reasonable. They earn their high reviews!
