Inter-County Oil Services and Building Inspectors & Contractors

I have used InterCounty for many years for oil delivery and they have brought oil when ever we called on time. In fact when we were low on fuel they would always make it a priority to get out that day even during snow storms they made the delivery. Sometimes late at night or very early in the morning. Their service technicians would service the older boiler and kept it going for many years until this year when it needed to be replaced they were able to convert us from oil to gas the next day and replaced the unit for a reasonable price very efficiently. The mechanics took care of everything and installed the new unit without problem. I would recommend Inter County without hesitation.

So... lots of mixed reviews, comes as a bit of a surprise really. just about every business has its good days and it's bad days and sometimes days that are just a bad day to get out of bed. Happens to all of us. Here's my impression after using them on and off for going on 12 years. They were at one point a small family run business, friendly with a handshake. I guess the big guy decided to upgrade the business. Fresh coat of paint, new carpets and efficient staff in the main office and no spare parts lying around on stained Walmart tables. I guess the personality went with the efficiency, though I do get a kick out of the home made honey for sale and catching up on the home town gossip with the ladies. Personality breeds trust; a confidence that the family has your back and you're getting a reasonable deal on oil (truth is I doubt there's much wiggle room in a gallon of fuel), and the services are true to the problem, no unnecessary upsale for what's not needed. I get that sense from these guys, yet to be steered wrong but lets see how long the old mans values stay rooted in family values (and homeopathic remedies) versus the sterility of business efficiency. I'd like to hope that it does since Glenside and North Hills remain a hard working old school blue collar community. .. and the oil gets delivered just have a back up provider just in case it's a bad day for them.

Have to say we've been using Inter County for several years and haven't had any complaints. Oil delivery and employees have been courteous and nice, even received oil at 8pm when I thought it wasn't going to come. Thank You for your services

Last year they serviced my furnace and all was well. I've had no issues with oil delivery, either. But this year they spilled oil on my basement floor - something that could have been prevented with drop cloth. The clean up product they used was awful and caused an asthma attack. I ended up using unscented kitty litter, Dawn, hot water, and elbow grease. Anyway, during a recent chimney cleaning we discovered that the exhaust pipe from the furnace to the chimney was so corroded that it was falling off the wall. I called to see if this should have been checked and quoted for repair back when they serviced the furnace. The answer? No, that's not part of the service. Really? I have a clean burner, but carbon monoxide exhaust filling my basement. I cannot recommend this company.
