        Buying a home represented by Dana Shawgo was very difficult. He refused to communicate with our realtor when we were seeking info or an additional addendum. During these times, he had questions he wanted us to answer. This is the third house we have bought since we've been married, and have not expereinced anything like this in any of our house buying processes. After settlement, Dana insisted he would pick up his sign and lockbox "sometime by the end of the week." Clearly this is straight up laziness, as we found out he lives a few streets away. My husband reached out to (edit) him to get his lock box and sign. It is possible that sellers' may have a better experience if he represents them, however I would not buy a home sold by Shawgo again. **In response to owner: Settlement was Wednesday and I believe you were having your boat serviced that day and were not at settlement. Thursday was the day we had a delivery from Friedhaber's.

      Randi, I’m sorry you had a difficult transaction. This is the first I have heard of it. I wish I knew more about the issues you encountered. Since I did not represent you I feel I do not have the whole story. I am really confused with the sign and lockbox comment. The sellers closed in my office on Monday. Your agent should have been with you at your closing on Wednesday. If I had known you wanted me to be at your closing, which was not a local closing, I would have certainly would have made every attempt to do so. I picked up the sign and lockbox the day of your closing (I parked beside the Friedhaber van). I also did not get a call from your husband? If you would like to discuss this a little further, please do not hesitate to reach out. I will do anything I can to help. Welcome to the neighborhood.
