Holiday Inn Express Philadelphia Airport, an IHG Hotel

My family and I stayed here when we were unexpectedly delayed overnight at the Philadelphia airport thanks for overloading our airplane, American Airlines Pros: 1- The Central African staff spoke English and all made an effort to keep things very clean 2- The staff genuinely wanted to help us- very nice people 3- there was a nice view of the Delaware river from a dilapidated back porch area Cons: 1- a rat in the walls (Room 318) kept us awake from 6 AM to 9:30 AM: digging, scratching, running about 2- the alarm clock had been left on to go off at 6:30 AM- we did not realize it had been left on when we got to our rooms at 1:45 AM 3- the alarm clock in and adjacent room had also been left on at 6:30 AM. We were unable to turn this off and there was no one in the room to turn it off either 4- the coffee machine in the room was broken- but was very clean and was set up properly with decaf and regular coffee pods 5- the decaf coffee in the lobby was only lukewarm 6- it took over 30 minutes for the attendant at the front desk to assign rooms and a room key to us and there was no one else in line at 1:15 AM 7- the tub plug in the bathroom was broken

Stayed here I'm 2018, it was so cute. I absolutely loved that it was right off the water. Probably going to book again in September when we go back!

Fatal lousy hotel, lousy treatment and they ask for a deposit that is almost the same price of the room and until now for a month they have not returned the deposit.
