I have been a customer about as long as this store has been around, but the owner is very rude and off putting. Made me feel like I was bothering him. Games are 2.5-3x market value across the board. It was great when it first opened, but now it is more like a museum of overpriced games. There are much cheaper alternatives with better service and selection.

I took my son there on a Sun. and they also had a "brb call xxx" note on the door. No-one answered the call, we left for lunch and came back and still no-one. I came back another day and they have stock but expect to pay way above value according to VGPC. I was quoted $80 for a $25 game according the pricechart. I wouldn't mind paying more but I feel like the quote was just made up. Then came the hard sell and I was out. You can have a much better experience from online sellers who authenticate games. I suggest DKOldies.
Edit: I called 4 times from 1:26pm to 1:41pm, they called me back at 3:39pm. I was quoted $80 for Mario Kart DS cib which I just picked up for $20.

Hello Tamer! We apologize about the brief step out, we were simply getting lunch for ourselves and did call back a number that called us while we were doing so and didn’t get an answer or call back. We can only recall one person looking for a game for their son, we tend to remember our customers as we like to introduce ourselves and have as close a connection to each guest that comes in. We believe it was for Pokémon Heart Gold in which $80 for an authentic copy is more than a fair price for that game. We don’t understand the hard sale part of your review. The only thing we said after you told us the game was too high a price for a 5 year old to simply play, which is fair, is that we kindly recommended another game such as a Mario or a Lego game which is super easy to enjoy for that age group and the price stays in the $10-$20 range depending on the game. We were suggesting another option, not trying to upsell and we always make similar suggestions for our customers to help them get what’s best for them.As for authenticity, we DO NOT sell reproductions, bootlegs or anything if the sort and have been in business going on 14 years; we not only know how to spot fakes but we open every cart of value to extra determine its authenticity and we’re well known for it. VGPC most definitely doesn’t show $25 for Pokemon Heart Gold and if any other online retailer has it for that price, we can guarantee that it is in fact a fake/reproduction. We would never carry such things and to reiterate, check the quality and integrity of every game of value.Edit to the Edit: We were definitely busy when we came back and called back any missed calls, in which there was one and one call from that number, when we had a chance to. There was absolutely no way anyone here has ever quoted a super common DS game such as Mario Kart for $80, loose or complete. The only person we remember coming in looking for a game for their son was specifically looking for Pokemon and only Pokemon. We most likely suggested Mario Kart for that age because it’s popular and had the cart which was priced at $15-$19. Believe you may have mistook the price of Heart Gold, that was in the case that you asked about.
