Came into town this weekend from VA to visit my dad and I was afraid of what I would walk intolet me just say I was absolutely impressed with this facilityclean facility and everyone was so friendly and helpfulits hard on me being out of town but makes my heart feel so much better with the staff caring for himthey walked by constantly asking him if he needed anything etcthank you for everything yall do

My stepfather was a resident at DHCC for the past few years. While there the staff worked to help make him feel comfortable and at home. The nurses and aids were very friendly and he was always joking with them. When he became ill he had people from every department including maintenance popping their heads in to check on him. I cant tell you what that meant to my family that he was so loved and well taken care of. During the pandemic the activities department worked with him to get him involved in all of the activities and they arranged for him to have video calls with us when we were unable to visit. Riannon from the social services department worked with us to ensure all of his needs were taken care of and that any concerns that arose were addressed promptly. Jason from the business office also worked with us to ensure that everything was always up to date and running smoothly. This took a huge burden off of our minds as it was one less thing we needed to worry about. The staff was very compassionate towards my stepfather and our family and we are pleased that we chose them to provide him with exemplary care in his final years.

Nurses and aides were very nice but the business department, social services and administrator were horrible. Jason from the business office did not inform us until two weeks after the end of the month that we would have to pay out of pocket for our loved ones care because she could no longer do therapy and Medicare doesnt cover unless she was doing therapy. He should have told us as soon as she was not able to continue therapy. Called the administrator Travis Martin, 3 times and he never returned our phone calls. Rianna from social services was very rude and uncaring. Needless to say we removed our loved one from that place. Keep the nurses and replace the business staff.

This facility do not care about the safety of the residents, the care they provide is very poor, the nurses are rude the Administrator is a joke, I didnt even want to give this place one star
